Born in Colorado, my family moved around a little before settling down in Durango, CO for my childhood. I came to Nebraska for the first time when I went to Union College for my college career, and I guess something stuck, because just three years after I moved away, my husband, our little girl, moved back and I.
Sometime in high school a friend jokingly told me I should be an OB/GYN because I had such bad baby fever and wanted to talk to every pregnant lady I came across. That started me down a long road of slowly getting into birth work. With a desire to one day be a midwife, I learned everything I could and shadowed several people in the birth world before I finally took my own first steps in the birth world as a labor doula in 2022, two years after I had the birth of my dreams with my daughter. 2023 brought me daughter number two with a complete 180° birth that only deepened my desire and knowledge that I was were I belonged in the birth word.
